2010: in Beijing, RCBA meeting jointly with ICBA General Assembly

2007 : in Singapore, RCBA meeting in conjunction with ICBA General Assembly.

2006 : Open discussion on "Strategies of Cooperative Banks to sustain in a competitive Economy", supported by SANASA Development Bank.

2006 : in Bangalore (India), hosted in February the ICBA meeting.

2006 : in Colombo (Sri Lanka) ICBA/RCBA/SDB Symposium on "Governance of Cooperative Banks". ICBA also supported by publishinf the proceedings of the Symposium.

2005 : in Goa (India) ICA AP/RCBA/NABARD/ACCU Regional Workshop supported by ICA Domus Trust on "Cooperatives and Micro-finance".

The Regional Cooperative Banking Association for Asia Pacific (RCBA)

On the advice of ICBA, Regional Cooperative Banking Association for Asia Pacific (RCBA) was constituted in 2000. RCBA is also represented on the membership of ICBA and has made efforts to establish workable collaboration with ICBA and has expand this collaboration for strengthening networking, sharing of knowledge and expertise and solidarity among cooperative credit and banking institutions of Asia Pacific Region.

Membership

President  : Mr.B.S Vishwanathan elected in August 2006.

Membres :
India (5), Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea (2)Sri Lanka (3), Thailand (2) and the International Organisation ACCU -Asian Confederation of Credit Unions.

In Asia-Pacific, 22 cooperative banking groups or networks have been listed, 13 of which are members of the International Cooperative Banking Association.Efforts are being made for examping membership from following countries : Bangladesh, Nepal, Singapore, Japan, Republic of Korea, Australia and New Zealand.
