Jean-Louis Bancel attended the OECD (Organization for Economic Development and Cooperation) symposium on “the overhaul of the international monetary system”.

This forum for a meeting of minds of specialists academics and practioners, was an opportunity to promote the cooperative banking model, to expose its specificities and its comparative advantages, and to underline the cooperatives interests in the reframing of financial structures. At the heart of the debate about the new shapes of a renewed economy we want to build, Jean-Louis Bancel defended the cooperative model as a full-fledged actor of a sustainable economic recovery.

He reminded the substantial economic role of cooperative banking sector around the world and speaks in favour of a real consideration of cooperative bank interests, not as a peculiar model but as an efficient and viable model.
